Join us on Sunday, 22 February 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Bridge of Remembrance, Christchurch, as we mark four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine
We gather to show unwavering support for Ukraine, which continues to defend its freedom, sovereignty, and people against Russia’s ongoing aggression.
This is a moment of solidarity with Ukrainians who endure daily missile and drone attacks, destruction of critical infrastructure, power outages, and the loss of lives and livelihoods. We also stand in defense of Ukraine’s unique cultural heritage, which Russia is deliberately attempting to erase.
Russia’s war against Ukraine did not begin in 2022. It started in 2014 with the illegal annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas. Twelve years on, the fight continues—at an immense human cost.
The Ukrainian Association of New Zealand (South Regions) invites all friends of Ukraine to come together in peaceful support.
