Together with the Ukrainian Charitable Foundation Indigo, we are supporting recreational initiatives in communities affected by the war in Southern Ukraine.
One such project is helping restore a local sports school in the town of Snihurivka, which was occupied by Russians for 8 months in 2022. The school was looted and partially damaged during the occupation. We are assisting in restoring the school’s training equipment, so local children can relieve stress and regain a sense of normalcy through sport.
Items currently needed:
- Volleyballs
- Agility ladder
- Hurdles (various heights)
- Soft/foam hurdles
- Football net straps
- Marker cones
- Skipping ropes
- Net attachment straps
- Goalkeeper gloves
🏆 Last year, thanks to our support, we were able to send the school a set of footballs. Let’s build on that momentum together.

Dear Friends!
The fundraiser is now closed – the goods are sealed in the container and are on their way to Ukraine. Let’s take a moment to summarize what we managed to gather and what will soon be delivered.
Thanks to your donations, we have acquired:
- 3 sets of hurdles (15 cm, 25 cm, and 35 cm high)
- 3 agility ladders
- 6 Silver Fern volleyballs
- 3 Silver Fern footballs
- 3 Lotto footballs
- 5 pairs of junior-size goalkeeper gloves
- A variety of skipping ropes
- 2 sets of marking cones (50 items each)
And that’s not all!
Wellington Phoenix FC – the best professional football club in New Zealand — answered our call and generously provided numerous sets of small-sized club uniforms, along with some club merchandise!
This more-than-generous donation will join the sports equipment and be delivered to Snihurivka’s sports school too. We are sure the kids will love it, and the good name of Wellington Phoenix FC will be spread far and wide in Ukraine!
Half of the Phoenix FC fan flags stayed here on the South Island, finding a new home with the local kids’ football club, where they will be given out as a “Player of the Day” treat 🤗
